Iconic Bollywood actor Dilip Kumar who has done some of the best set of films in Indian cinema passed away today morning due to the prolonged illness. Dilip Kumar is aged 98 and he has been admitted to hospital due to breathing issues. Dilip Kumar was admitted to the hospital multiple times from June 6th after he complained of breathing-related issues. He was discharged recently and was admitted again last week. His family members informed that his health condition is stable but it deteriorated last night. An official press statement was issued by Mumbai's PD Hinduja Hospitals.

Dilip Kumar was seen in 65 films in a span of 40 years. He is survived by his wife Saira Banu. His real name was Yusuf Khan and Devdas, Naya Duar, Ganga Jamuna, Mughal-E-Azam, Kranti and Karma are his best works in his career. Dilip Kumar was last seen in Qila that released in the year 1998. Several Indian celebrities mourned the demise of Dilip Kumar.
