Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar was the first actor to resume the shoot after the first wave of coronavirus pandemic. The actor even announced that Bell Bottom will hit the screens in July. With the situation not favorable and Maharashtra reporting a huge number of coronavirus cases, the makers pushed the film's release. Bell Bottom will now hit the screens on August 19th across the globe. Adding more excitement, Akshay Kumar today announced that the film will also have a release in 3D.

Pooja Entertainments and Emmay Entertainment bankrolled the project and Bell Bottom will be available for release in 2D and 3D from August 19th. Directed by Ranjit M Tewari, the film featured Akshay Kumar, Vaani Kapoor, Lara Dutta, and Huma Qureshi in the lead roles. The film is said to be a stylish spy thriller set in 1980s and is inspired by true events. Bell Bottom is completely shot in Scotland and London. Akshay Kumar is the only Indian actor who has been working without breaks and have multiple projects lined up. Some of his films have been heading for a direct digital release too.
