Aamir Khan has been deeply affected by the disappointment of "Laal Singh Chaddha's" failure, according to his ex-wife Kiran Rao. In a recent interview, Rao disclosed that Khan was emotionally invested in the project, considering it a long-held dream that had been in development for ten years. Despite the setback, Rao expressed gratitude for the positive feedback on social media following its release on an OTT platform, while also recognizing the need to acknowledge both the film's success and its shortcomings.
"Laal Singh Chaddha," directed by Advait Chandan, is a Hindi adaptation of the 1994 Hollywood film "Forrest Gump" and stars Khan alongside Kareena Kapoor, Naga Chaitanya, and Mona Singh. Despite the film's low-key release on an OTT platform, it faced criticism and calls for boycott, partly due to controversies surrounding Khan's past statements. The unconventional release strategy deviated from traditional promotional methods, but Rao remains thankful for the audience's response.
