Aamir Khan, who is now 59 years old, celebrated his birthday by gathering with the media and the team behind his latest production, Laapataa Ladies. During the event, Aamir expressed his appreciation for the positive feedback the film has received from viewers. The renowned actor and producer also mentioned his intention to continue creating similar movies in the future. Laapataa Ladies, which marked Kiran Rao's return as a director after her 2011 film Dhobi Ghat, has been well-received by its target audience. Aamir expressed his gratitude towards the audience, stating, "I would like to thank everyone for their support of this film. Moving forward, we will continue making such films and hope to have your ongoing support." He further added, "The love we have received from the audience for this film is truly heartwarming. On this special day, I want to express my gratitude to both the audience and the media." Aamir Khan's Laapataa Ladies successfully launched three promising new actors, namely Nitanshi Goel, Pratibha Ranta, and Sparsh Shrivastava. In a recent interaction with fans on Instagram, Aamir shared his desire to promote fresh talent in Bollywood, emphasizing the need for support from the audience.
"Supporting movies without big-name actors is crucial for the growth of the film industry. So, if you enjoy a film that lacks star power, make sure to show your support. It not only benefits these good films but also contributes to the overall development of the industry," he expressed. Aamir Khan, known for his acting prowess, has not yet announced his next on-screen project. However, he has two exciting ventures in the pipeline as a producer. The first one, titled Sitaare Zameen Par, starring Genelia Deshmukh in the lead role, is set to release on Christmas 2024. Aamir, while interacting with his fans online, shared his thoughts on the film, stating, "Just like Taare Zameen Par touched your heart, Sitaare Zameen Par will bring laughter to your soul". Following that, Aamir's next production, Lahore 1947, is expected to be released on Republic Day 2025. Directed by Rajkumar Santoshi, this film boasts a stellar cast including Sunny Deol, Preity Zinta, Karan Deol, Ali Fazal, Shabana Azmi, and many more talented individuals.
