The famous actress Rashmika Mandanna has been named the national brand ambassador for the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C), an initiative by the Indian government to address cybercrime. Mandanna, known for her roles in movies like "Pushpa: The Rise" and "Animal," was the victim of a deep fake video that circulated widely on social media earlier this year. As someone who has experienced the impact of cybercrime, Mandanna believes it's time for stronger measures to protect our online world. She has urged people to report cybercrimes by calling 1930 or visiting the cybercrime.gov.in website. The Indian government's Cyber Dost, which focuses on cyber safety and security awareness, has welcomed Mandanna as the national brand ambassador for I4C.
The I4C, an organization established by the Ministry of Home Affairs, aims to create a unified system to address cybercrime effectively. As part of this effort, they have partnered with a National Brand Ambassador to strengthen India's digital landscape and confront cybercrime directly. Mandanna, the ambassador, will soon be featured in the upcoming film "Pushpa: The Rule," scheduled for release on December 6.
