A new Guinness world record has been set in Mandaluyong, Manila, Philippines, for the largest ever Zumba class held in a single venue.

A total of 12,975 participants who were dressed in bright yellow t-shirts have danced continuously for 30 minutes to high-tempo music, to set the new world record.

The participants together broke the Guinness record that was previously held by the central Philippine island of Cebu, in which 8,232 people participated in October 2014.

Guinness World Record adjudicator Allan Pixley confirmed at least 12,975 people took part in the Zumba class in main streets of Mandaluyong city to set the new world record for holding the world’s biggest Zumba class.
