Performers from Mayuri School of Dance are getting ready for several classical performances at the event of Discover India 2015 organized by India Association of Phoenix in the State of Arizona on 1 November 2015. The performances are of traditional Kathak dance form, one of the eight forms of Indian classical dance, to steal the show.
The conventional Kathak performance’s structure tends to follow a progression from slow to fast in tempo and ends with a dramatic climax. Tukra is a short dance composition, while the longer one is toda.
A group constituting Diya Setia, Vidya Desai, and Shraddha Dwivedi are performing a Kathak group dance at the big event. There is another classical dance of Kathak performed by adorable seven to eight year old girls on music by Pandit Ravi Shankar, which is choreographed by Almagul of Mayuri Dance School. The participants include Saarena, Arya Jadhav, Shriya Kundranda, Simar Parmar, and Aarna Tanna. Also a classical Kathak Dance would be performed by seven to eight year olds based on music by Pandit Ravi Shankar for the song titled, Tarana Vishaya.
