You can shop for almost anything - from detergents to diapers - in warehouse stores like Sam's Club and Costco. But did you know these stores sell cars, insurance and mortgages too? Big leap, we know!
New Cars
And you thought you could only buy upto big screen TVs and big four-wheel ATVs there? Well, now you can shop for cars too at Costco for a predetermined rate through local dealerships.
"So there's not a lot of haggling," said Mike Gibson, Costco warehouse manager. "You kind of see it's black and white, what you're going to pay for the vehicle."
You can buy cars in Sam's Club online stores.
Insurance
Not just cars, you can avail car insurance at Costco too.
"(That's) something me and the wife never thought about," McGlothan said.
But business experts from Consumer Reports Magazine and Cleveland State's Dr. Elad Granot enlightened us that everyone should seek novel options at warehouse stores to live up to the competition.
"This is a part of a much more broad paradigm shift in where consumers are being empowered," Granot said. "What you have today is vendors and lenders competing for the consumer."
Home Mortgages
Costco also offers you a way to get home mortgage through its warehouses.
"We'll take kind of the guess work out of it," Gibson said. "We'll give you a variety of different options to look at and give you some background on those lenders."
