Nothing, absolutely nothing can warm you up on a frigid day like a little whiskey, brandy, and hot buttered rum. We bring you the recipe of a winter classic - Manhattan, that will keep you warm to your bones. However, to shake up a real Manhattan, you need good rye whiskey. It's the harmony between the bitters, the sweet vermouth, and the sharp, musky whiskey that makes the drink so lively and lip-smacking. Read on for the recipe.

Ingredients
2 ounces Rye Whiskey
1 ounce Italian Vermouth
2 dashes Angostura Bitters

Glass Type: Cocktail Glass

Instructions:
Stir the rye,vermouth and bitters well with cracked ice.
Strain into in a chilled cocktail glass and garnish with twist or, of course, maraschino cherry.
