Earlier rumors broke that Dhanush is all set to remake the Malayalam blockbuster film ‘Premam’ under his home banner Wunderbar Films with Vijay Sethupathi in Tamil. However, the actor-producer Dhanush clarifies that he does not have the remake rights of the film in Tamil, dismissing the rumors.

This clarification came from Dhanush in a chat with his fans on Twitter, where he said he does not own the Tamil remake rights of Premam. The Malayalam coming-of-age musical-romantic comedy drama film is written, edited, and directed by Alphonse Putharen. It is a three-part portrait of the hero finding his true love.

Dhanush is set to begin work on a Tamil project that is not titled yet with the director Durai Senthil Kumar the coming week in Pollachi. Dhanush’s fans and the even the actor is waiting for the release of Tamil entertainer “Thanga Magan”.

Upcoming drama film Thanga Magan is written and directed by Velraj and produced by actor Dhanush. The film also stars actresses Samantha and Amy Jackson. The movie is likely to be released in December 2015.
