Tamil actor Vijay is one of the highest-paid Tamil actors. He is on the top of the league with back to back hits. He donated Rs 1.30 crores for coronavirus relief. He donated Rs 50 lakhs for Tamil Nadu CM Relief Fund and Rs 25 lakhs for PM-CARES Fund. Rs  25 lakhs has been donated for FEFSI (Tamil Nadu film workers). Rs 10 lakhs have been donated for Kerala CM Relief Fund.

Vijay also made some generous donations for the CM Relief Fund of all the South Indian states. Rs 5 lakhs each has been donated for CM Relief Fund of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka and Pondicherry. Vijay also will be donating some amount for his fan groups so that the amount would be utilized to feed the people who are in need.
