The new variant named Omicron is spreading on a fast note and is the reason for the surge in the cases in the recent weeks. The entire globe is impacted again due to the variant but the chances of hospitalization are quite low. The symptoms of the Omicron variant too are quite different from the other variants. The entire world is aware that the symptoms of the variant are mild. The recovery rate is quite faster and some of them are back to work in a week's time after they are getting tested negative in 3-4 days. The symptoms of the Omicron variant will vary from person to person. The previous symptoms are fever, loss of taste and smell, cough.
The symptoms of the Omicron variant are cold among the fully vaccinated. There are no signs of fever as per the recent study. The rate of transmission of the new variant is higher when compared to the Delta variant. Headache, fatigue, sore throat and runny nose are the common symptoms in Omicron and Delta variants. Sneezing is common and loss of taste, smell are rare among the Omicron variant. More than 73 percent of the new cases are due to the Omicron variant and most of them had runny nose. Typcial symptoms of the variant are experienced by the unvaccinated.
There are debates that Omicron may be the last variant but nothing is clear for now.
