Avatar from James Cameron was a groundbreaking movie with extremely high amount of animation going into the movie after the extensive use of the green screen. The sequel will be better promises Jon Landau who will produce the movie.
The sequels for the movie will incorporate the state of the art technology which will involve shooting the movie underwater. The performances will be recorded underwater and later developed, the 52 year old producer told the Hollywood Reporter. There was a recent gathering at the NAB Technology Summit on Cinema where several digital artists have demonstrated how the same can be done.
Since the performance of the actor's experience underwater couldn't be simulated though the environment could be added later on via computer graphics, actors will now have to perform inside a tank that will simulate the vast environment.
He adds that they are putting a lot into the movie to ensure that the entertainment quotient of the movie will exceed and surpass the first one while also adding the last two details of the lives of the characters.
Landau said that this was their attempt in using the most updated technology for the best shots with tantalizing visuals.
