Team India failed to recreate the magic in the T20 World Cup 2021 though they were hot favorites. Though Pakistan topped the chart with back-to-back victories, the team could not make it to the finals. It was Australia and New Zealand who made it to the final. The final match took place last night and Australia bagged the title of the T20 World Cup 2021. Australia won the toss and elected to bowl first. New Zealand made a decent score of 172 for the loss of 4 wickets in their 20 overs. Kane Williamson (85), Martin Guptill (28) have been decent with the bat for New Zealand. Josh Hazlewood (3/16), Adam Zampa (1/26) have been good among the Australian bowlers.

Australia completed the chase in a comfortable manner in 18.2 overs after they lost two wickets. Mitchell Marsh (77 not out), David Warner (53) and Glenn Maxwell (28 not out) have been decent with the bat and completed the chase and left the team in victory. Trent Boult (2/18) took both the wickets among the New Zealand bowlers. David Warner has been named as the Player of the Tournament and Mitchell Marsh from Australia is named as the Player of the Match for his outstanding performance with the bat. New Zealand team who had high hopes on the victory lost to Australia in the crucial battle.
