Australia is touring in India for the three T20 match series before the T20 World Cup 2022 commences in October. After India and Australia reported one victory each, the final and the decider took place last night in Hyderabad. India won the toss and elected to bowl first in the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium. Australia got a respectable total of 186 for the loss of seven wickets in their 20 overs. Tim David (54), Cameron Green (52) and Daniel Sams (28 not out) are the top players among the Australian batsmen. Axar Patel (3/33), Harshal Patel (1/18) and Yuzvendra Chahal (1/22) bowled the best among the Indian bowlers. India had a big target to win the match against Australia.
Though Team India lost early wickets through the openers, the team managed to end up victorious and completed the chase with one ball left by 5 wickets. Suryakumar Yadav (69) was the top scorer and Virat Kohli (63) had been a huge support. Hardik Pandya (25 not out) shined in the last overs and brought an easy victory for Team India. Daniel Sams (2/33), Pat Cummins (1/40) and Josh Hazlewood (1/40) bagged the wickets among the bowlers of Australia. Suryakumar Yadav is named as the Player of the Match while Axar Patel is named as the Player of the Series. India bagged the T20 series and celebrated in style. India will now play with South Africa and the first T20 will start from September 28th.
