At last the century that evaded the master blaster has become a reality for the fans across the globe as Sachin Tendulkar slams his much awaited big century in the Asia Cup 2012. Team India take on Bangladesh in style. The century was inevitable today for Sachin but would have been an accomplished task had he done the treat in England or Australia. Anyway nothing must go unaccredited for the milestone reached by the batting machine. The Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium, Dhaka, Bangladesh was full of applause to the beloved cricketer and Bangladesh will be remembered ever by the Cricket book of records with the master’s penultimate record. Luck evaded the master blaster the last one year and 33 innings to reach this mile stone. And now Sachin will go dashing into bat and prove his detractors wrong for all the criticism made on his performance. With the long impending monkey off his back, the master moves on to a new innings.
This century adds to the list of the master blaster records which now soar to a record level of hundred centuries in both the formats of the game. Sachin has right now 51 centuries in Test matches, after being a part of the Team India in 188 matches, having played 311 innings and scored 15,470 runs. In the ODI’s Sachin has played 462 matches and played 451 innings scoring somewhere nearly 20,000 runs taking into account his latest game also. He has till date scored 49 ODI centuries and that leaves him the ultimate player in the history of cricket to have scored 100 hundreds in any formats of the game. Wishesh wishes the master blaster a powerful and a long career while congratulating him of the present milestone. (AarKay)
