Samsung has announced that the beta version of its Android 15-based operating system (OS) called One UI 7 will be available to all users, not just developers. The update was officially announced on October 4 at the Samsung Developer Conference (SDC) 2024 in San Jose. One of the highlights of One UI 7 is the new home screen grid, which the company says will be "smoother" and easier to use. . In response to a user question on the Samsung Community forum (via Android Authority), a beta watcher revealed that the One UI 7 beta is actually available to the public and is not limited to developers. However, the release schedule remains unknown. Once the rollout begins, users will be notified via the Samsung Members app. The public availability of One UI beta updates is nothing new, but Samsung's SDC 2024 announcement, which only mentioned a rollout for developers to try out the update later this year, makes it even clearer. Meanwhile, the official release of One UI 7 OS is scheduled for next year.

Samsung has announced that the new Galaxy S series, popularly known as Galaxy S25 series, will be the first Samsung-equipped devices. This coincides with the launch of the Galaxy S24 series, which launched in January this year and is expected to launch in early 2025. One UI 7 brings Android 15 to Samsung smartphones. The new Android operating system was released last month, but only a few original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), including Vivo, iQOO and Nothing, have rolled it out across their entire phone lineup. According to the South Korean tech giant, One UI 7 has three main goals: targeted simplicity, unique effects and emotional connection. It should be designed to minimize the complexity in carrying out the work. The operating system has been redesigned for a cleaner look and greater compatibility.
