Akkineni’s Handsome young lad Akhil Akkineni is making his debut in Tollywood and the movie has been titled as Akhil. Sensational director VV Vinayak is directing the movie which completed shoot recently. The movie has been aimed for release during Dasara but the makers have postponed the movie to Diwali due to the delay in the VFX work. Sayesha Saigal is making her debut as actress in Akhil and the recently released audio has received decent response from the audience. SS Thaman and Anup Rubens composed the music.

As per the latest update, Akhil has been delayed further and the movie may not hit the screens this year. The makers are in plans to release the movie for Sankranthi next year as there are number of movies lined up in November. Nagarjuna has not been happy with some episodes which are currently being shot again. Young actor Nithin produced the movie on Sresht Movies banner which has been made on a budget of Rs 50 crores. Akhil will have extensive graphics for over 50 minutes. The recently released theatrical trailer has been receiving exceptional response all over.
