Stylish Star Allu Arjun tested his luck with Pushpa and the film released in multiple languages across the globe on Friday. The movie raked massive money across the globe in its first weekend and Pushpa collected Rs 67.1 crores in three days for the Telugu version alone. The Hindi version collected Rs 12 crores (gross) in its first weekend. The theatrical rights are valued at Rs 120 crores for the Telugu version and the movie has to stay strong on the weekdays to recover the investments. Sukumar directed Pushpa and the shoot of the sequel will commence in February 2022.

Rashmika Mandanna is the heroine and Fahadh Faasil, Sunil, Anasuya played other important roles in Pushpa. Devi Sri Prasad is the music composer and Mythri Movie Makers are the producers. Pushpa is the costliest film made in Allu Arjun's career. Allu Arjun's performance has been widely appreciated by the audience, fans and critics.
