The South Indian film industry, commonly referred to as Tollywood, has always had an ardent and devoted fan base. However, with the growing Pan-India trend, the fandom for South stars has multiplied significantly, particularly when their films are dubbed in Hindi and well-received by the audience in the North. As a result, the demand for these actors in terms of brand endorsements has skyrocketed, leading to a substantial increase in their charges. Allu Arjun, one of the most prominent South stars, has risen to great prominence following the phenomenal success of his Hindi-dubbed film "Pushpa: The Rise – Part 01" in 2021. According to a source from a renowned jewellery brand cited in the report, Arjun used to charge Rs. 35 lakhs a few years ago. However, owing to the popularity of "Pushpa: The Rise - Part 01," he has raised his fee to a staggering Rs. 6 crores per day.
Nayanthara, a highly acclaimed South Indian actress, demands a whopping fee of Rs. 5 crores for brand partnerships. Kiara Advani, a rising star in the Hindi film industry, commands a price range of Rs. 1.5-2 crores per day, which includes various activities such as photoshoots, store inaugurations, and attending brand-related events. The rise in fees charged by these actors is a reflection of their demand and influence in the endorsement industry, making them lucrative assets for brands seeking to connect with their fanbase.
