The Telugu Desam Party has demanded the government to cancel land allotments. According to sources, the party has held an internal meeting to discuss these issues. TDP delegates are most likely to visit the Governor, the prime minister and even the President if necessary. Meanwhile, party leader, Erram Naidu has indicated that TDP is going to even take out a candle rally against the hike of electricity charges.

Talking on several burning issues, Erram Naidu pointed out that the government has succumbed to the pressure from various illegal forces and mafias including sand mafia. He has also said that TDP has been fighting these issues over a period of time.  Besides taking candle rally protests, he said, that TDP would stage several demonstrations and protest nation wide if situation demands. He has also demanded the government to promptly look into the issue.
