The CPI state secretary Narayana has said that the government was allegedly misusing the power and resorting to unfair politics. He has expressed his displeasure over the fund release to 18 assembly constituencies where by-polls are scheduled to take place.
He has demanded the government to release a white paper immediately over the sanction of funds. It may be noted that government has been declaring that it would be releasing funds in several places. The chief minister Kiran Kumar Reddy has announced the release of few more crore rupees to Tirupati on Sunday. He made this statement when he was in the temple town yesterday along with Chiranjeevi.
On the other hand, TRS leader Harish Rao also took on the chief minister alleging that releasing funds only to some areas was completely undemocratic.
Looks like the Congress thinks releasing funds is the best way for attracting the votes besides withstanding the tough competition from TDP and YSR Congress. While TDP is busy fighting liquor syndicate, YSR Congress leader Jagan was saying he would be stopping suicides if God makes him the chief minister. Well, the political observers are of the opinion that TDP and YSR Congress should apparently come together and question the Congress for releasing the funds to a few areas only. (Phani)
