The Internet mogul Google turned 15 yesterday! What a ride it has been for world's largest Internet company — from a small garage set up to more than 70 offices across 40 global locations.

Founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin set up the firm on Sep 4, 1998.

Initially called the BackRub, it later came to be called as Google. Ever since, it has been synonymous as internet search engine.

Close to its 15th birthday comes the announcement for its 4.4 Android Software that is being called KitKat.
