Gilbert and Scottsdale have been named as the top five safest cities in the United States, a big feat for Arizona.
According to Law Street Media, both the Arizonian cities boasts of efficient policing systems and lower crime rates. The information was revealed in Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Uniform Crime Report Statistics in 2013 that was released yesterday.
Gilbert’s Mayor, John Lewis, proudly said, “Gilbert’s safe atmosphere is created through the dedication of our terrific police department along with the commitment to our community from our residents and businesses to continue to make it a clean, safe and vibrant place to live and work.”
The City of Scottsdale too made it to the list, thanks to the high officer-to-resident ratio, and a "vibrant economy" that contributed to make Scottsdale a safe haven for its residents.
