A middle aged Tuscon woman, vacationing in northern Arizona, was sexually assaulted in Oak Creek Canyon on Wednesday. The 52-year-old lady is under medical care now.
Confirming the news, Coconino County Sheriff's officials reveal that the lady, who was vacationing in Flagstaff, was driving her way home to Tuscon,when she stopped on the side of South 89A close to the Call of the Canyon to admire the view of a creek.
It was then that the woman was attacked from behind and physically assaulted by a man, who later fled on foot.
Detectives are trying to locate the offender who is believed to be in his 40s.
