Valley man Michael Mitchell who murdered a man in 2016 was sentenced to 32 years in Prison.

Michael shot Pedro Gomez to death on May 2016 at his apartment. It was a random attack. When this incident took place, Gomez’s girlfriend Diana Lopez was in other room holding their three young kids.

After killing him Michael confessed his crime to 911 and said that it was those voices in his head that led him to Gomez’s door.

Diana said that it was a heartbreaking incident, regardless of sentence these three young kids will grow without their father.

She also said there are several times I have to comfort my kids and there have been several nights where they cry and wish to have their father back.

Gomez family said this sentence is not sufficient. He deserves a life sentence for taking an innocent life for no reason. They also said that Killer didn’t show any remorse during the trial.

He was having a smirk on his face as if he didn’t care, all he cared was about his lost freedom, said Gomez family.
