While Russian troops occupied some eastern Ukrainian regions by killing thousands, there was a drone attack on the Russian capital Moscow. This was said to be the biggest drone attack on the Moscow city. The attack came just weeks after the Kremlin was hit by drones. Russia blamed Ukraine, while Kyiv has denied the responsibility.
Several drones fell on the western suburb, said Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin. Russian President Mr Vladimir Putin and officials addressed this as a terrorist attack. At least 13 drones were used and caused minor damage in the city. This was a target on the civilians.
US state department said they are investigating the attack and opposed the attack inside Russia. In this attack, at least one civilian was killed. Eight drones deviated from their targets because they lost their control/ signal and the Pantsir-S-surface-to-air missile system has shot down at least five drones in the Moscow region.
The western suburb region where the strike was done is the elite area in Moscow, where Russian officials live along with Mr Putin. Mykhailo Pdodlyak, Ukrainian presidential adviser said that they are not directly involved with the attack, but were happy by watching it and he also predicted that there will be more increase in such incidents in Russia.
