Megastar Chiranjeevi shares a close bonding with Bollywood Superstar Salman Khan. Even Ram Charan is a close friend of Salman Khan and they meet frequently. Chiranjeevi wanted Salman Khan to play an important role in his upcoming movie God Father and the film is the remake of Malayalam blockbuster film Lucifer. God Father is a political thriller and there is a cameo essayed by Malayalam actor Prithviraj Sukumaran. Mega Prince Varun Tej was considered initially but Chiranjeevi wanted a pan-Indian actor and he locked Salman Khan.

Salman Khan too agreed to be apart of the project. As he is busy with his projects, he could not join the sets. Salman Khan now landed on the sets of God Father and the shoot is happening in Mumbai. Some crucial episodes are shot on Chiranjeevi and Salman Khan. The schedule of God Father will be completed in a week. Nayanthara and Satyadev will be seen in other important roles. Mahati Swarasagar is the music composer and Ram Charan, NV Prasad are the producers of God Father. The film will release during the second half of this year.
