Ola, an App-based cab operator, has named Rajiv Bansal, advisor to Infosys’ CEO, as Chief Financial Officer. From January 2016, Mr. Bansal will join the start-up. He resigned from Infosys. He will be a part of core leadership team of Ola. Current CFO, Mitesh Shah, will lead strategic finance initiatives as part of Rajiv’s team, said the statement.
Mr. Bansal has an experience of 21 years in finance. He has work experience of more than 16 years at Infosys. Ola closed $500 million in its Series F funding round.
Ola Co-founder and CEO Bhavish Aggarwal said, “He brings with him a wealth of experience. Rajiv’s understanding and expertise in the finance domain is extremely valuable for us at this juncture of growth.”
Flipkart, Ola and Snapdeal are raiding international talent, traditional businesses, consumer companies, and consulting firms for strategy and scale expertise. They are active in building a strong management team for strengthening critical operations.
