Banks to remain closed for 12 days in July 2024

According to the Holiday Calendar 2024 released by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), banks across India will observe 12 public holidays in July. The Central Bank determines the full list of public holidays for the year, taking into account factors such as national and state holidays, cultural or religious customs, business requirements, government announcements and coordination with other banks. These holidays include second and fourth Saturdays and regular Sundays, as well as regional and state holidays. Although closed on these special days, customers can still access banking services through network banking, ATMs, mobile applications and bank websites. The RBI communicates this information to banks and other financial institutions through official channels such as its website and notifications.

July 3, 2024: Banks in Shillong, Meghalaya will remain closed on July 3, 2024 due to BehDienkhlam.
July 6, 2024: Banks in Aizawl are closed on this day as it is MHIP day.
July 7, 2024: Banks across the country will remain closed on Sunday.
July 8, 2024: Banks in Imphal will be closed on July 8 due to the Khan Rata Jatra festival.
July 9, 2024: Banks in Gangtok are closed due to Drukpa Tesji.
On July 13, 2024, all banks will be closed on the second Saturday of the month.
July 14, 2024: Sunday, a weekly holiday.
July 16, 2024: Banks in Dehradun remain closed due to Herrera activities.
July 17, 2024: Public holiday in many states across the country due to the Muharram festival.

According to the bat list, Agartala, Aizawl, Belapur, Bangalore, Bhopal, Chennai, Hyderabad Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad Telangana, Jaipur, Jammu, Kanpur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, Delhi, Patna, Ranchi, Raipur, Shillong. There will be holidays in Shimla-Srinagar.
Banks in Panaji, Thiruvananthapuram, Kochi, Kohima, Itanagar, Imphal, Dehradun, Gangtok, Guwahati, Chandigarh, Bhubaneswar and Ahmedabad will remain open.

July 21, 2024: All banks in the country will remain closed until Sunday.
On July 27, 2024, all banks will be closed on the fourth Saturday.
July 28, 2024: Since this day is the last Sunday in July, banks across the country will remain closed.

To avoid inconveniences, customers should plan their bank visits systematically. Even on public holidays, you can conduct transactions and other banking activities through online banking and ATMs. This facility is not affected by the closure of the banks.
