Gilbert Days Parade and Red, White and Blue Festivals will not be hosted this weekend as planned.

Considering the brewing storm and bad weather, the officials have rescheduled the festival sometime next month.

Town of Gilbert spokeswoman Jennifer Alvarez said Gilbert Days Parade and Red, White and Blues Festival will now be hosted on Saturday, Dec. 7, 2013.

The parade will kickoff at 9 a.m. on Gilbert Road between Juniper Road and just south of Elliot Road.

Parking will be made available to the participants and other guests at the Gilbert Public Schools Administration Building, the Gilbert Community Center, the Boys and Girls Club, and the shopping malls on the northeast and northwest corners of Guadalupe and Gilbert roads.

Traffic will remain closed on Gilbert Road - from Guadalupe Road to just south of Elliot Road at Mesquite Street from 7 a.m. to noon.

"Only local traffic will be allowed on Gilbert Road from Mesquite Street to Warner Road," city officials said.
