Green is passe - it's time to go purple with your diet!
With so much talks going around on including rainbow of antioxidant rich foods in your diet, it certainly makes sense to fill up your plate with polyphenol-packed purple foods that are rich source of flavonoids.
As per a recent survey, adults who consumed purple and blue foods were less likely to be obese/overweight, have high blood pressure and cholesterol and were at much lower risk of cancer.
Just piling your plates with foods like eggplant, purple grapes, figs, plums, dark cherries, raisins, purple cabbage could expose you to a sea of health benefits.
You can eat these purple delicacies raw or grill them with aromatic spices, dress them with your favorite salad vinaigrette, or bake them till al dente.
