f the grapevine is to be believed, then we might see Anushka Sharma team up with Ranbir Kapoor in Anurag Kashyap's “Bombay Velvet”. Anushka will appear in a retro role, that of a jazz singer from the 60's.
A little birdie has told us that the actress has enrolled in an Indo-Australian jazz classes to get into he skin of the character.
With the vivacious Anushka teaming up with buoyant Ranbir Kapoor for the first time, the world is curious to know how their chemistry will show up on the big screens.
The film, besides these two actors, boasts of other interesting star cast like filmmaker Karan Johar and quiz master Siddharth Basu.
“Bombay Velvet is the first film from a trilogy about Mumbai before the city turned into a Metropolis,” reveals a source.
