Australia builds score steadily on Day 2, 244/6

After the first day never reached frution with the ground excessively damp from the incessant rain, the match began a dull start on day 2 at Mohali. Australia, headed by Michael Clarke, decided to take the bat.

The Australians who have had their worst stints in the first two matches in Chennai and Hyderabad appeared to be careful in Mohali. Batting painfully slow, they managed to pile up runs slowly. It all went well until Ravindra Jadeja struck on the filed. One ball, David Warner, (71) was caught behind the stumps as Dhoni takes a simple catch and the very next, he compeltely deceived the Aussie skipper Clarke who tried to get the ball ahead of the crease. Indian Skipper and Wicketkeeper was too fast for Clarke dismissing him from the pitch with a graceful stump.

Ojha following the lead of Jadeja also dismissed Hughes (2) early on in the game getting off his mark. It wasn't until the tea session after lunch that Ashwin had his fair chance. Ed Cowan who was proving to be dangerous with his bat was dismissed (81) after Kohli takes an easy catch in the slips. Ishant Sharma after several attempts was successful with one wicket dismissing Haddin (21) and all rounder Henriques(0) almost immediately.

Post tea, the Australian team seemed to be crumbling down like a house of cards. The question now is not how India will win the test but how early will it earn the win.
