After emerging as one of the hot favorites of the T20 World Cup for 2022, Team India suffered a massive defeat in the semifinal match of the World Cup against England and is now out from the tournament. England completed the chase of 169 without losing a wicket in just 16 overs. Indian fans are just furious on the poor show by the Indian team. England won the toss and elected to bowl first. Team India could report a decent total of 168 for the loss of 6 wickets in their 20 overs. Hardik Pandya (63) is the top scorer for the side and Virat Kohli (50), Rohit Sharma (27) have been successful with the bat. Chris Jordan (3/43), Adil Rashid (1/20) and Chris Woakes (1/24) managed to pick the wickets among the English bowlers.

Chasing the target, England scored 170 runs without losing a wicket. Alex Hales (86 not out) and Jos Buttler (80 not out) completed the chase. All the Indian bowlers are expensive in the chase. Alex Hales is awarded with the Player of the Match award. The final match will take place on November 13th on Sunday between England and Pakistan. Both of these teams haven't won a T20 World Cup till date. Team India will next play with South Africa and the tour commences during the end of this month.
