The Vivo S20 series consists of two models, Vivo S20 and S20 Pro, and was launched in China. This phone is the successor to the Vivo S19 series launched in May. The new smartphones share some common features, including a 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a 50MP main camera and dual SIM functionality. The Vivo S20 and S20 Pro have an IP64-certified construction against dust and water ingress and have an in-display fingerprint sensor for security. The Vivo S20 price starts at RMB 2,299 (approximately Rs 27,000) for the base 8GB + 256GB model. There are four variants in total, with the 16GB + 512GB configuration priced at RMB 2,999 (roughly Rs. 35,000). Meanwhile, the Vivo S20 Pro costs RMB 3,399 for the 12GB + 256GB configuration. It is also available in 16GB + 256GB and 16GB + 512GB versions. Both devices can be pre-ordered in China starting today. Both Vivo S20 series models feature a 6.67-inch (1260 x 2800 pixels) 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 5000 nits maximum brightness and HDR10+ support. The base model has a flat screen, while the Pro version has a quadruple curved panel. Both devices run on OriginOS 5 based on Android 15.
The Vivo S20 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 2.2 storage. Meanwhile, the Vivo S20 Pro is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ chipset paired with Arm's Immortalis-G720 GPU, up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM, and up to 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage. Coming to the optics, the Vivo S20 features a dual rear camera unit consisting of a 50-megapixel OV50E sensor and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens. It also has a 50-megapixel front-facing selfie camera. The Vivo S20 Pro, on the other hand, has a triple rear camera setup that includes a 50-megapixel Sony IMX921 primary camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 50-megapixel Sony lens. The Vivo S20 is powered by a 6,500mAh battery that supports 80W fast charging. The external dimensions are 160.35 x 74.18 x 7.19 mm and the weight is 186 grams. The Vivo S20 Pro is powered by a 5500 mAh battery with 90W fast charging support, measures 160.56 x 75.02 x 7.43 mm and weighs 193 grams.
