Going with the world, Apple the doyen of computer era is all set to grow thin and launch its much acclaimed iPad mini version, enthusiasts are waiting for the product.
Especially in India consumer loyalty plays a firm foothold in decision making. Once acquainted to the Apple iPad, now the recent plans unveiled by the company’s latest upcoming model, a mini iPad, is much awaited. The mini would be a teaser to Kindle Fire and Nook tablet and could also replace smart phones. The 7.85 inch iPad mini is speculated to be released in the fourth quarter of 2012. The speculation of the release was much in the reckoning as it was reported in DigiTimes on Thursday.
As per the report, already the assembling work seems to moving at a rapid pace. Rumors reveal that the company will purchase 7.85-inch panels from LG Display and AU Optronics (AUO). Samples are currently being delivered to Apple for verification and volume production is rumored to begin in the third quarter. The price point might not be critical for the Apple audience, but reports indicate that it could be as low as $250.
The release of a ‘mini iPad’ would go against the feelings of the late Apple leader Steve Jobs, who didn’t feel it was a viable launch plan. (With inputs from internet: AarKay)
