Samsung Galaxy S4 was launched today early in the morning at 4:30 am IST at Times Square, New York. While being a major hardware improvement over its predecessor, Samsung Galaxy S4 has a plethora of new features no phone has ever imagined to incorporate.
Here is the list of the top ten features that put it aside from the rest of the phones in the rat race to be the number one smartphone.
1.Air View/Air Gesture: We knew about this feature in Galaxy Note II. All you had to do was hover your S-Pen over the screen to read messages, inbox details and many more. However, get rid of that S-Pen now. You can use your hand to do the same and more. Without touching your screen use gestures to accept and reject calls change songs, web browsing, and photo galleries.
2.Smart Pause/Smart Scroll: This could probably be the most anticipated features, with the rumors doing rounds. Stay ahead of the game with Samsung Galaxy SIV which tracks your eyes and decides when to save power if you aren't looking at the phone. Scroll the web pages and e-books just by tilting the phone up or down. Similar gestures to pause and resume videos is also possible.
3. S-Voice Drive: An app for the safety of the users when you are driving. It allows you to control your phone with voice commands when you are driving.
4. Temperature and Humidity sensors: Yes, you read it right. The phone has inbuilt sensors that tell you about the surroundings without the need for internet.
5. S-Health: Taking the tips from Apple, it added new workout, daily intake, weight tracking, blood pressure and glucose monitoring app to keep track of your health.
6.Group Play: Transfer documents, view docs, play games, videos and music from other Galaxy S4 phonesets near you.
7.Dual camera features: Ok, every phone now a days has two cameras. What's special about it? This phone has two cameras that work simultaneously in photos and videos if you choose to. Never miss another group photo.
8. Drama Shot: A sequence of shots in a burst shot can be combined to give a dramatic effect with the whole event in one picture. Over a 100 shots in a span of 4 seconds can be combined to get the drama effect. You can also eliminate the "photo-bombers" with just a tap.
9.Sound & Shot feature: Narrate a story to be attached to a picture that you shoot. 9 seconds of audio can be added per picture.
10.S-Translate: This one is my favorite. The phone can understand 10 languages by default and use it extensively with Text to speech and speech to text services. Type a message in English and get the audio in any language you prefer among the available 10 languages. You can record any language sound and seek the help of your phone to translate it into any language, text or sound.
