Of late, Apple Inc is finding itself embroiled in a spate of controversies, the recent one being the death of a Chinese woman who got electrocuted and died while answering a call on her iPhone 5.
The 23-year-old flight attendant from China's western Xinjiang region – Ma Ailun was killed by electric shock while on a call on her phone that was put on charge.
Apple is all too sad to learn about the death. Expressing condolence, the firm issued a statement: "We are deeply saddened to learn of this tragic incident and offer our condolences to the Ma family. We will fully investigate and cooperate with authorities in this matter."
Ma's sister tweeted on a microblog site warning users to be careful while using iPhone 5 while charging.
Last April, Apple revised iPhone warranty policies in China market after its after-sales service was condemned by the state-run media.
