The second wave of coronavirus shattered India which is the most impacted country because of coronavirus. Tollywood is shut and all the shoots came to a halt. The theatres are shut down after all the announced summer releases are postponed. But some of the filmmakers continued to shoot during the pandemic season. Allu Arjun is currently shooting for his upcoming project Pushpa without any breaks. Sukumar is the director and Allu Arjun plays a lorry driver in this high voltage action entertainer that is based on red sandalwood mafia that is set in Seshachalam forests in Chittoor district.
There is a delay in the shoot of the film and hence Allu Arjun decided to continue the shoot even when the conditions are not favorable. The social distancing is maintained and all the government issued guidelines are strictly followed. Pushpa is planned on a budget of Rs 160 crores and the film is announced for August 13th release across the globe. Sukumar is the director and with the delay in the shoot, Pushpa will not release as per the plan. An official release date will be announced after the shoot completes. Rashmika Mandanna is the heroine and Fahad Fazal plays the role of the lead villain in Pushpa. Mythri Movie Makers are the producers and Devi Sri Prasad is composing the music and background score.
