Megastar Chiranjeevi tested his luck this year with God Father, the remake of Malayalam blockbuster film Lucifer. The actor is done with the shoot of Waltair Veerayya, a mass entertainer that is directed by Bobby. The film was announced for Sankranthi 2023 release and the expectations are high on the film. Shruti Haasan is romancing Chiranjeevi in this mass entertainer that is set in the backdrop of Vizag. Mass Maharaj Ravi Teja will be seen in an important role in the film and he plays Chiranjeevi's brother in Waltair Veerayya. Catherine is paired up beside Ravi Teja in this film.

The makers today announced that Waltair Veerayya will release on January 13th, 2023 across the globe. The film is made on a budget of Rs 100 crores and the theatrical rights alone are valued at Rs 100 crores. Devi Sri Prasad scored the music and the first single is already a smashing hit. Several top technicians worked for this mass entertainer. Mythri Movie Makers are the producers of Waltair Veerayya. The film will clash with Balakrishna's Veera Simha Reddy which will release a day before than Waltair Veerayya. Vijay's Tamil film Vaarasudu produced by Tollywood's top producer Dil Raju is also releasing during the holiday season. Ajith's action entertainer Thunivu too will release for Sankranthi 2023.
