Amidst all the ruckus and speculations surrounding the pandemic spread of Coronavirus, it was reported that Prince Charles has tested positive for the disease. According to the reports, the 71-year old had been showing mild symptoms of the disease but is currently in good health, as per the spokesperson.
The reports further suggest that the Duchess of Cornwall has also been tested for the virus but the reports came out negative. The couple, Charles and Camilla are now self isolating themselves in Balmoral.
The Buckingham Palace has also released a statement suggesting that the Queen last saw her son on March 12. She hasn’t been tested positive and remains in good health now.
In a Clarence House statement, it stated saying, “In accordance with government and medical advice, the prince and the duchess are now self-isolating at home in Scotland. The tests were carried out by the NHS in Aberdeenshire, where they met the criteria required for testing.”
They also suggested saying that it is tough to exactly pinpoint from whom Prince Charles contracted the virus because he comes in close proximity with a number of people around. He has also engaged in a number of public roles in the recent weeks, which makes the situation harder to suspect.
Following the Duke and Duchess’ return from Scotland, the Duke started showcasing mild symptoms of the virus for which he was tested by the NHS in Aberdeenshire. The results came back the next day showing it positive.
Prince Charles is still working and is in good spirits, according to the released statements. The reports have further clarified that the Queen is in complete good health and is self isolating in Windsor. Owing to the kind of age that they are in, everyone around them is taking extra precaution to ensure the best of their health.
Prince Charles and Duchess Camila, on the other hand, are self isolating themselves according to the government’s rule. They have a small staff working with them. The couple is going to be residing in Scotland as per the protocol till Prince Charles is completely recovered.
