Stylish Star Allu Arjun scored his career's biggest hit with Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo. The film directed by Trivikram stood next to Baahubali and it raked massive numbers. The actor signed Pushpa in the direction of Sukumar and the shoot commenced this year. The makers announced that the film will hit the screens in August this year but the shoot of the film came to a halt because of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Allu Arjun too was tested positive for coronavirus and the shoot is kept on hold. The shoot of the film will resume after the situations turn normal.
As per the current update, Allu Arjun is in plans to release Pushpa in two installments. He discussed this with Sukumar and took the final call recently. The first installment of Pushpa will have its theatrical release in December this year and the second part of the film will release next year. Sukumar is keen to get more budget for this pan Indian film. Pushpa is about red sandalwood mafia in Chittoor district. Fahad Fazal plays the role of the lead antagonist and Rashmika Mandanna is the heroine. Devi Sri Prasad is the music director and Mythri Movie Makers are the producers.
