Abbas Ali Zaffar directed the movie which is said to be an emotional entertainer tipped with wrestling. Salman Khan has been seen as a wrestler in the film and Anushka Sharma played the female lead. Sultan received exceptional response from the audience across the globe and the makers have been thrilled with the response of the film.

Sultan has been a smashing hit all over and the movie collected Rs 490 crores at the box-office in 12 days of its box-office run. This has been huge for an Indian film and Sultan collected Rs 365 crores across the Indian circles and the movie minted Rs 125 crores across the International markets. Many super hit movies have been crashed with in a week after Sultan released and the movie has been continuing its dream run all over in its second week.
