Samsung Star is your best bet for Rs 5,240

Aggressive pricing strategies have worked wonders for consumers in being able to get phones at the cheapest rates, but this one is truly a notch ahead. Pricing down Android phones of the top brand in the world to the level of a casual smartphone like Nokia Asha is a clever technique to grab all pocket money of the budget phone buyers who want to spend less than Rs 6000 for a smartphone.

Samsung Galaxy Star does just that for Rs 5,240 only. There is no reason why you have to choose mediocre brands like Micromax anymore. This is priced below the Samsung Galaxy Y which was available at Rs 5,890.

Don’t hesitate that this is an entry level phone and might be riddled with thousands of problems but fear not. The smartphone is a dual-SIM device, powered by A5 1GHz processor and the Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) operating system. It has a three-inch capacitive touch screen, 2-megapixel camera and 512 MB RAM and 4GB internal storage (expandable up to 32GB). Not the best of the specs but more than you can ask for at this rate.

It’s worth a chuckle when you compare it with the flagship mobile from the smartphone maker from South Korea, the Samsung Galaxy S4 but look at the huge price difference between Rs 5,240 and Rs 41,500.
