A couple has been killed in a double fatal stabbing in the 20600 block of north 35th Avenue. Phoenix police is investigating the incident, in which they have made an arrest.
The Phoenix Sgt. Vince Lewis, said that, police received a 911 call at about 4 p.m. in which the caller said a man was hitting a woman.
The police responded to a mobile home and came in contact with a man in his late 30s. They arrested the man and checked the property.
Lewis said, they found a man and woman in their 60s on the ground, severely cut and unresponsive. Both were pronounced dead at the scene. The police said, the two were believed to be a couple.
According to the police, the man who was arrested was taken to the hospital for an unrelated medical issue. They have not released details on the man's relationship to the couple, but they knew each other, Lewis said.
The investigation is ongoing. The names of the man arrested and the two victims have not been released.
