Talented actor Suirya has been busy selecting innovative roles in his career and he has not been much concerned about the commercial success of the film. All his recent movies received critical acclaim but failed to collect decent commercial figures. He has been back this summer with 24 which is said to be a sci fi thriller. Vikram K Kumar directed the film and Suriya essayed three completely different roles. Samantha and Nithya Menen played the female leads in the movie.

24 released across the world on May 6th in Tamil and Telugu languages. The movie received exceptional response across the world and the audience have been thrilled with the narration of Vikram Kumar and the performance of Suriya. AR Rahman composed the music and Thiru is the cinematographer for the film. 24 has been declared as a blockbuster all over and is running with packed houses across the world.

The movie has been exceptional across the International circuits and the film collected 1.1 million USD in the opening weekend only in North America. This is the biggest ever among Suriya’s movies and the collections have been quite strong in Tamil Nadu along with the Telugu speaking states. Suriya has been quite happy with the film’s response and he thanked the audience for the wide support all over. He produced the movie on 2D Entertainments banner.
